If the following error appears after recording: Cannot open file. <-this last sentence is the one that bothers me the most.If a video has been recorded and opened in the Snagit Editor, and the picture only shows the initializing screen, or is blank see this article. It IS must have software, but I have to admit that I have 'looked around' to see if there is a competitor since I have been wrestling with version 13.

We will keep buying it for our new machines. Software that does what we want to and is INTUITIVE.

We LOVE SNAGIT because it makes our lives better. You don't have to be like Microsoft and monkey with the UI and sell the product as 'new.' Since we pushed version 13 too all company machines, I have said, in meetings, its the worst version of the product (FROM a UI perspective) that TechSmith has ever put out. Version 13 has given the naysayers fodder for the arguments. When I have to fight with the UI to do what I want to do, I rethink my position as evangelist for SnagIT. I would come down on them and 'teach' them why SnagIT was so very powerful and necessary. I used to walk the halls of my office calling out anyone who said, well Microsoft has this snipit tool now, we don't need SnagIT anymore. TechSmith, get the UI devs of the old versions to teach the UI devs of version 13 to understand what it means to make software intuitive. SnagIT has always delivered this, until version 13. Intuitive graphical user interface is a MUST for software making life easier. I convinced my organization to purchase SnagIT years ago for 10 thousand people so that tells you how much I love it. I have been a SnagIT evangelist for so many years. Thank you for posting this as it makes me feel good to know I am not alone.
